What have you personally accomplished in math this semester? Do you feel more confident? What will you do differently next semester?
I have personally accomplished a lot in math this semester, compared to my past years. I find I am doing exceptionally well this semester, I have held a B in an AP course, which I think is pretty good, even though it may not be haha :) I find that I am retaining information better this year than last year maybe it’s because they don’t have too many formulas in calculus. I also study more this year than I did last year to make sure I know exactly what i’m doing; the study guides we get before the test make it a lot easier as well. I guess I can just ask more questions next semester.
I think I've accomplished a good bit this semester considering there's not too many individual concepts we've learned. It's basically like each concept falls into the category of another one..if you know what I mean. Like for example when you have to analyze and sketch a graph (in 3.6), all the steps to doing that come from everything we've learned all put together in one problem. So in my mind I think of it as one large concept with details to it..but not difficult things. I feel that what we've learned so far is pretty easy, and I'm proud of myself for maintaining a good grade in the class. I actually do feel a little more confident about myself and my work..since I've gotten used to the class and I know what to expect. I'm just hoping all the practice AP work/tests we're going to do will be just as easy. Umm..as for next semester, I think I'll start studying for a test a couple of days ahead of it instead of just the night before..haha, that might help. I'm extremelyyyyyyyy nervous about the practice AP's though! I don't know why ha
I feel like this semester i was better able to learn know and practice what measures were necessary to be taken to keep my grade up and to keep from struggling. I feel like i learned better ways to take notes, better ways to study, and better ways to learn. In math i feel like ive accomplished the learning necessary to succeed in the math tasks and tesing i am faced with at this point. I do not feel more confident. I feel more accomplished. Like i worked as hard as i could and succeeded for this semester. Next semester i will try better to stay calm and be confident but i know how nervous i am about the practice ap tests. I hope that next semester i will do as well as i did this semester.
I have personally accomplished a lot in math this semester, especially compared to last year. I have gained a better overall understanding of math than I had in the past. I also feel much more confident in my math skills because I am doing much better in Calculus AB this year than I did in Advanced Math last year. I don’t think I’ll do much differently next semester except maybe take advantage of calcchat more often when doing my homework. I might also actually do the study guides B-Rob gives us before each chapter test (the ones that aren’t mandatory). But then again… Anyway, I’m not especially looking forward to next semester and all those AP packets and practice tests.

This semester, I have accomplished a lot. I can't even count how much I have learned. All the way from limits to derivatives to the beginnings of integrals, I feel as if I learned so much in what seems such a short time. I do kind of feel more confident, when it comes to limits and derivatives. There are some things in between, of course, that throw me off sometimes. Next semester, I will definitely do more homework. I need to make more time to do homework and use CalcChat more. Also, I have learned that we will be preparing for the AP exam for the next semester mostly, not really learning anything new that much, and prepping for that is going to be sort of difficult. I'm not exactly looking forward to it, but whatever needs to get done will get done. Mainly, I just need to take the class more seriously and not let my grade slip too much. Do homework, stay on top of blogs and wikis, and study harder for tests. That should be good. Can't wait to graduate in May. Wahoo!
I personally dont think i have accomplished much. I have bad grades in this class so it murdered my gpa. But Im getin better at it so Im not that worried about it. I just hope in time that I'll do good on the ap. I need to get NONFICTIONAL on this class. I think that I'll be okay for a while. Oh and that I need to use calc chat more. I think that might help me out also.
this semester was pretty much the big one for me! i accomplished a good bit and basically mastered limits, derivatives, graphs, integration im getting down, keeping up with wikis and blogs, staying on top of my study guide and all that stuff. I definitely feel less intimidated and more confident with this stuff, plus i've gotten much faster at it. clock keeps grinding till graduation and im excited
This year in calculus, I feel that I have succeeded in learning derivatives and inverses. I also feel more confident because we continue to practice on them quite frequently. Next semester, I think that I will try to study more than I already do and keep practicing.

This semester I realized that I wasnt as math savy as I thought I was. I really struggled in the beginning and I am still kind of struggling now but I feel I have improved somewhat. In the second semester I just want to be comfortable with taking the test. I believe my main problem is that when I had to take a test I started blank out because I was worrying about failing even though I failed every test anyway.

ReplyDeleteI also hope that my hard work will in the end pay off and that at the end of the semester i will pass the ap exam.
