blog#golb

okay so this week wasn't too bad. we learned about how to find the derivative of a natural log or log as well as a logarithm and number raised to an exponent.

in order to find the derivative of a natural log you have to multiply 1/u by du where u is the inside of the natural log and du is the derivative of the inside of the natural log.

for example: ln(7x)

d/dxln(7x) = 1/7x multiplied by 7 = x

and when finding the derivative of e^u you take e^u multiplied by the derivative of u.

for example: d/dx e^ x^2 - 1

e^x^2 - 1 multiplied by 2x = 2xe^x^2-1
